"Why Homeschooling is a Better Choice"
One Family's Journey in the Public School
Training our children in the ways of the Lord is the most important thing
a parent can do. It supercedes all other motivations in our decisions regarding
education and discipleship. Yet, there is no doubt that the overall experience
of the education of our children matters - the academic and social aspects are
important. There is no better place to develop these through homeschooling.
Indeed, many of us have made the commitment to disciple our children through
homeschooling - to take full responsibility for our children’s education and
social development before God. Others are considering homeschooling but are not
quite sure if that is the route God is leading them.
This month, Casey and Justina Brummer will approach this subject from a different, more
personal, point of view. Having experienced all of the potential
education options with their children, they will discuss their own journey to home
discipleship and education of their children. As most parents did, they have struggled
with normal questions related to homeschooling after taking stock of the experiences with
public schools, private schools, and charter schools. They will talk about their experiences
and address questions such as:
- Am I doing the right thing by homeschooling my kids,
- Is homeschooling really the best option for my child,
- Am I qualified to home educate my children,
- What will my parents and siblings think about this decision,
- Is homeschooling legal or protected in my state, and
- What does the Bible say about home discipleship through homeschooling?
You will definitely want to come and hear about this exciting talk as we take a Christian Apologetic
look at homeschooling & compare it to the different types of educational institutions. Come be
encouraged and empowered in your homeschool journey and learn why we can say for sure that homeschooling
is THE better choice!
